Privacy Policy

Account data: name, email and profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google.

App content: workouts, challenges, check-ins, photos and reactions you create or share.

Usage data: basic technical information to keep the app running and improve the experience.

With your permission, Gymaniacs reads Apple Health data — such as steps, active energy, heart rate and sleep — to log workouts and check-ins.

This data is used only to provide app features. We do not sell, rent or use health data for advertising, and it is never shared with third parties for that purpose.

On Android, with your permission, Gymaniacs reads the exercise sessions other apps recorded in Health Connect, to show them on the Home screen alongside your workouts and to let them count toward your XP.

So that your level is the same on any device and for your challenges, we send our servers only the minimum details of each session: an identifier, the activity type, the start and end times, and the app that recorded it. We do not send heart rate, calories, location, routes or any other health data.

This data is not shared with third parties and is never used for advertising. You can revoke this access at any time in your Health Connect settings, and you can erase all of it by deleting your account.

Content you post in a challenge is visible to the participants of that challenge.

We use infrastructure providers (such as authentication and storage) solely to operate the service.

We keep your data only for as long as your account exists. Account data, workouts, challenges, check-ins and photos stay stored while you use Gymaniacs.

How to delete your account: open Gymaniacs, go to your profile, enter settings and tap “Delete account”. You can also email hello@gymaniacs.app to request deletion of the account tied to your email address.

What gets deleted: deletion is immediate and permanently removes your profile, workouts, routines, challenges, check-ins, photos, reactions and other personal data from our systems. Encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Health data: from the exercise sessions read via Health Connect and Apple Health we keep only the minimum needed to compute your XP — identifier, activity type, start, end and originating app. All of it is deleted along with your account. Heart rate, sleep, steps and location are never sent to our servers.

What may be kept: minimal records required by legal or tax obligations — such as purchase receipts — for the period required by applicable law, even after your account is deleted.

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored on infrastructure with encryption at rest and per-user access control.

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time through the app or by contacting us.

Deleting your account removes your personal data, as required by law.
